Apparel Design & Merchandising students present Runway 2021: Virtuality
Runway 2021: VIRTUALITY is a fashion show that defies boundaries, presented by junior and senior designers within SF State’s Apparel Design and Merchandising program in the Family, Interiors, Nutrition & Apparel Department. The event will be fully online and available through a website platform on May 6. Emerging designers and merchandisers are excited and ready to showcase fashion through a new, virtual lens.
After a year of online learning, students have found a new outlet to express their creativity and go beyond their comfort zone. Senior designer, Bella Santiago states, “Through this time of isolation, we have taken the time to step out of our boundaries. We have put our hearts into our collections and are excited to share with the community even through a digital platform.”
The event showcases different collections from the junior and graduating senior class. Runway 2021: VIRTUALITY gives students complete freedom within their designs and encourages them to challenge themselves. Their collection will be a representation of their hard work, love for fashion, creativity, and experiences within the past four years.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the students and faculty members of the San Francisco State University Apparel Design and Merchandising program have worked tremendously hard and are excited to create a memorable experience for every viewer.
Mark your calendars and follow Runway 2021: VIRTUALITY on social media in order to virtually immerse yourself in an extraordinary world of fashion.
