Recognizing and Preventing Postpartum Depression and Anxiety
This is a two-credit CEU event for counselors, nurses and social workers.
Postpartum depression, considered to be the most under-diagnosed complication of childbearing, impacts not just mothers, but the whole family unit include partners and children.
SF State alumna Shoshana Bennett, Ph.D., a leading maternal mental health expert and clinical psychologist, will give an informative talk that will provide you skills to use in your work. The talk will focus on identifying and helping both those suffering from postpartum depression as well as ways to support impacted family members.
